Deal or No Deal
Deal or No Deal
Deal or No Deal is a game that's based on a TV show. You decide whether to take virtual money offered by a banker or risk going for more.
All you need to do is to choose a suitcase to set aside and several suitcases to eliminate. The faceless banker will make an offer based on the probability that your first suitcase contains a lot of money. You should decide whether you will accept the offer or say "No Deal." Test your luck against the bunker as you open the suitcases to see if you can get a better deal.
You have 30 cases to pick that can contain as little as one dollar or as much as a million dollars. However, there are no game mechanics or tactics that could help you win. It's pure luck.
Enhanced Mobile Edition
Compared to versions on other platforms (Nintendo DS, Wii, etc.), the mobile edition has features that make Deal or No Deal more exciting. Here is what you can do:
1. Log into Facebook to play against your friends.
2. Earn experience to level up and unlock rewards.
3. Get tokens by completing challenges and spinning the wheel.
4. Play one of four modes: Classic, Tournament, Knock out, and Three Strikes.
5. Buy power-ups that give you an advantage. For example, you can increase the amount of money in the briefcases.
There is no strategy involved and no real money at risk, so you have nothing to lose.
Deal or No Deal lets you experience excitement and tension of the famous show. Pop the briefcases open while you're having a break or just to kill time. Praise Lady Luck when you win and curse her name when you lose. There are optional variations that increase your chances of winning, as well as simple mini-games. Still, it gets boring after several hours.
The game was released for Windows, Game Boy, Wii, iOS, Nintendo DS, and even Blackberry. The developers quickly understood that the premise was flimsy, hence they added a few variables, such as a mode with two million-dollar cases. There are also mini-games, which, unfortunately, are mere distractions. The game is as interesting as a coin toss. Consequently, there is no motivation to continue playing.
